Engage Session 1 (Student Led)
Engage promotes community connectedness and civic engagement, with the overall goal being to empower students to engage in situations where they can prevent, reduce, or respond to harm.
This session will be an in-person, 60-minute overview training that covers:
Scenarios related to various types of violence/harm, including
1) alcohol and other drug use
2) bias and discrimination
3) interpersonal violence
4) mental well-being
The importance of being an engaged community member, how students can be engaged community members in potentially harmful situations, challenges to acting as an engaged community member, and available resources
