Student Led Engage Session

Our campus is committed to creating a healthy and safe environment for all students. We are utilizing a new in-person training program, titled ‘Engage’ to promote community connectedness and civic engagement with the overall goal being to empower students to engage in situations where they can prevent, reduce, or respond to harm.

We are currently offering an in-person, 60-minute overview training that covers:

  • Scenarios related to various types of violence/harm including 1) alcohol and other drug use, 2) bias and discrimination, 3) interpersonal violence, and 4) mental well-being;
  • The importance of being an engaged community member;
  • How students can be engaged community members in potentially harmful situations;
  • Challenges to acting as engaged community member; and
  • Available resources
